Class C Motor Home Vs. Class A Motor Home
There is more to consider than just price when buying a motor home. The actual differences between a Class C motor home and a Class A motor home can make a big difference. Therefore, you need to consider the RV first and the price second.
Sleeping Space Compared
Even though a Class C trailer is smaller than the Class A, the Class C has more sleeping space. This is due to the extra bed above the truck’s cab. In a Class A motor home, this sleeping space is not available.
Some people like to go out camping with lots of friends and family. A Class C motor home makes sleeping arrangements much easier. Then when you do not have as many people, you can use the space for storage. This frees up your living space to give you more room.
Customize My RV
When it comes to the ability to customize an RV, you just can’t beat a Class A motor home. You will find more options and more creature comforts in the Class A than you would anywhere else. These bad boys are more like homes on wheels than anything else. Many people even install a washer so they can do laundry!
If you plan on living in your trailer, then a Class A is your best bet. They are much more customizable to match your needs.
Comparing the Price: Consider Used Motor Homes
Obviously, a Class A motor home will cost more than a Class C. However, if price is a concern, then you can easily look into used RVs. You can find many used RVs from dealer lots.
Many times, people purchase a motor home and a few years later decide they need a bigger or smaller RV. They then take it to a lot to sell on consignment. The dealer sells the RV for them. Once the dealer sells their current RV, the dealer can sell them a different RV. This is good news for bargain hunters.
Bargain hunters will find a used RV for a great price. Many times buying used also means the motor home comes with added accessories. This means you can find a RV with all the bells and whistles and still get a good price.
As you can guess, motor homes come in a wide range of prices. Therefore, choosing solely based on price is not a good idea. If you look around, you can find the right RV whether Class A or Class C at a price you can afford.
